Sarong ( 170 x 103 cm )
Printed using the "Batik" procedure: an old printing method originating from the East. The artist spreads a layer of wax across the fabric’s surface where a pattern is traced out and all the parts that will receive the dye are then scraped off. After that, a series of dyeing, drying and waxing steps are undertaken where new areas for colour are discovered. This process may be repeated as many times as necessary. It can be used in the summer as a beach wrap and in the winter around the neck like a scarf or foulard.
