OUR ARTISAN AND LOCAL PRODUCTION PROCESS

The design

At PLATADEPALO, jewelry design goes beyond aesthetics. The process begins with a detailed sketch, a vision that our designers draw up with inspiration and creativity. Each of our creations is a work of art that fuses traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary and rebellious style, designed for those looking for something more than just an accessory. Our pieces are the result of a meticulous selection of materials, a focus on innovation and a deep respect for jewelry tradition.
PLATADEPALO's DNA is distinguished by its adventurous and authentic spirit. From antiqued silver to hand-crafted leather, each jewel tells a story full of unique details, perfect finishes and an unmistakable personality. Our designs are inspired by the mix of cultures, wild nature and freedom of expression, giving rise to bold pieces with character.

Creating molds

At PLATADEPALO, mold creation is an essential step in the manufacturing process of our jewelry. Each mold is the base on which unique pieces are shaped, capturing the artisanal essence that characterizes the brand. This process requires meticulous precision and a deep knowledge of jewelry, as every detail counts to guarantee the quality and distinctive design that defines our creations. The mold is made from heat- and wear-resistant materials. This mold will be essential to faithfully reproduce each piece, capturing even the smallest detail of the original design. At PLATADEPALO, we ensure that each mold meets the high quality standards demanded by our collections.

Stones nailed in wax

At PLATADEPALO, wax setting is one of the most delicate and sophisticated techniques in the process of creating our jewellery. This method allows gems and semi-precious stones to be seamlessly integrated into the designs, adding a touch of luxury and authenticity to each piece. Precision in this process is crucial, as the stones must be accurately placed into the wax before casting, ensuring that they maintain their position and highlight the final design. Wax setting allows the stones to fuse organically with the structure of the jewellery, without the need for further adjustment, resulting in a flawless and long-lasting finish. This technique, used at PLATADEPALO, combines the best of artisan tradition with modern precision, ensuring that each piece is a work of art that reflects our dedication to detail and excellence.
Creating the mould tree: The process begins once individual wax models have been created for each jewel. These models, which are exact replicas of the final piece, are placed on a central stem, forming a structure known as a “wax tree”. This “tree” is made up of several branches, each holding a wax model, allowing the simultaneous creation of several jewels in a single casting process. The mould tree is an example of how we combine innovation and tradition to offer exclusive jewellery, crafted with precision and passion, reflecting the adventurous and authentic spirit of the brand.

Lost wax casting

The lost wax casting technique is a pillar in the artisanal process that gives life to our jewelry. This ancient technique, perfected over centuries, allows us to create pieces with fine and complex details, fusing tradition with innovation to ensure the quality and design that define PLATADEPALO.

Review and polishing of parts

The process begins with polishing, a technique in which artisans remove visible imperfections such as burrs, casting residue or small irregularities on the surface. Using specialized tools such as files, burins and milling cutters, each jewel is carefully worked to highlight its shapes and contours. Once the jewel has been polished, the next step is polishing, a fundamental step that gives each piece its final shine and finish. The goal is to achieve a smooth surface free of defects, highlighting the splendor of the metal, whether silver, gold or any other material that has been worked with.
