Why we raise prices (and stay true to our essence)

It pains us to have to do it, but on 10/13 we're raising prices 😔

In this video, we explain why we were forced to raise prices this Monday, October 13 :

At Platadepalo we believe that important things are said with transparency .

We took over Platadepalo because we were committed to a different way of making jewelry: Local, handcrafted, honest , with attention to detail . Made with genuine 925 silver , by real hands and a whole lot of heart.

But this September, the price of silver has skyrocketed , in just one month .

The situation:

• The price of silver has reached historic levels, never seen before, not even during the 2010 financial crisis.

• For months we have been assuming this and adjusting only the annual inflation .

• But this September, the rise has accelerated dramatically . It seems that the world has already gone crazy , never before in more than 30 years have such huge increases been seen .

The alternative we don't want to take:

• Give up solid silver.

• Outsourcing production to Asia.

• Stop being faithful to what we believe.

Our decision:

• Raise prices on Monday 13/10 between €10 and €25 on average.

• Staying true to our values and who we are.

• Continue making handmade and local jewelry , with soul, without haste and with passion .
